I’m taking the idea from Heavenly Homemakers, Take Ten Challenge and building on it to make chicken BBQ sandwiches for dinner. The Take Ten Challenge is daily meals you can prep in about 10 minutes. You can have tonight’s dinner prepped in around 10 minutes.

Chicken BBQ Sandwiches
In the morning, start 6 chicken thighs marinating in BBQ sauce. This should only take you 5 minutes. They can be frozen, just in a single layer. You could also make this to feed a crowd, just double or triple up the recipe.
I like to use chicken thighs because they cook up so juicy and flavorful. The BBQ sauce adds some spicy sweetness to the chicken. I cook the chicken in the oven but they would be delicious on the grill too. Maybe a 4th of July picnic.
Be sure to also start your homemade sourdough buns. Boom! Supper is started!

Preheat the Oven
An hour before your ready to eat preheat the oven to 350 degrees. While the oven is preheating form 8 buns into 4″ round 1″thick buns and allow to rise 30-60 minutes. Pop the chicken in a 350 degree oven and cook for 45 minutes.

After the chicken is cooked, turn up the heat on the oven to 400 degrees. Bake the buns @ 400 for 15-20 minutes.
Time to Eat
Slice the buns in half, add a few slices of pickle, some BBQ sauce, and a piece of chicken! You can pair it with some chips, a salad, or some homemade macaroni and cheese. Yum!~
